Transfer ribbons are designed to print on a wide range of materials. Thermal transfer ribbons are often called different names such as ribbons, TTR ribbon, thermal transfer foils, tapes, etc.

We are using three groups which depends on printing substrate: Wax Thermal Transfer Ribbons, Wax-Resin Thermal Transfer Ribbons, Resin Thermal Transfer Ribbons.

Characteristics of Ribbon

1. Wax-Based Ribbon

Suitable Media: Coated paper, matte paper, and other standard labels

Features: Low cost, high print sensitivity, but relatively weak abrasion resistance and chemical resistance

2. Resin-Based Ribbon

Suitable Media: PET, PVC, synthetic paper, and other weather-resistant materials

Features: High-temperature resistance (200°C+), chemical resistance (alcohol/gasoline), and exceptional durability

3. Wax/Resin Hybrid Ribbon

Suitable Media: Silver-coated paper, coated paper, and other semi-gloss materials

Features: Balances cost and performance, with better abrasion resistance than pure wax-based ribbons
